Yacht Carbon Offset calculates and counteracts an emissions allowance relating to the show’s core activities, helping AYCM to mitigate a meaningful portion of its environmental impact. The emissions allowance for the upcoming 2025 show is 55 tonnes CO2e. This is equivalent to the approximate volume of air required to fill 11 standard hot-air balloons, highlighting the importance of taking mitigating action!

Yacht Carbon Offset’s analysis includes allowances for a wide range of activities in its emissions calculation

Yacht Carbon Offset has counteracted the impact of these emissions through their carbon offsetting action, supporting the Larimar Wind Power Project, located in the Dominican Republic. By harnessing the power of the wind to generate clean electricity, the Larimar Wind Power Project reduces the Dominican Republic’s reliance on fossil fuels and prevents thousands of tonnes of CO2e from being emitted annually. We are proud to be able to make a meaningful environmental difference by supporting this project.

This year, Yacht Carbon Offset’s Managing Director, Rachel Goult (photographed above), will be undertaking a site visit to the Larimar Wind Project before attending the Antigua Charter Yacht Show. We will be excited to hear more about her visit during the show.

If you have any questions for Rachel, please feel free to contact her directly at enquiries@yachtcarbonoffset.com.
