Chef Elizabeth Lee, a Canadian, was born and raised in Nova Scotia and professionally trained in culinary arts graduating with honors in 2001. After graduation, at the age of 19, she became sous-chef at a fine dining, five-star Italian restaurant in Whistler, Canada. In 2003, Elizabeth moved to the yachting sectors as a charter yacht chef. After three years in the yachting industry, she teamed up with now husband Captain/photographer and founder of East Yachts Ltd. Warren East. 

Elizabeth quickly transitioned into a renowned chef within the industry, winning various chef competitions in the Caribbean and abroad, including Concours de Chef, Best Chef of the Year, BVI, Turkey and third place in the Antigua Chef Competition. 

Together, Warren and Elizabeth have logged 250,000 miles traveling the world sailing in many of the world's most beautiful places on prestigious yachts and cooking for the rich and famous. 

They own and operate the successful "East Yachts Ltd.", which Warren founded back in 2005. On top of becoming successful yacht sales and yacht charter brokers, they also owned and operated their own charter yacht for 10 years in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Elizabeth's future aspirations are to be able to give back to the industry in the form of training and becoming an advisor for future yacht chef projects. 

Elizabeth educates herself in the ever-evolving science of gastronomy and higher education. She recently completed an online course with Harvard University, 'Science and Cooking from haute cuisine to soft matter science', which underlines scientific concepts while breaking down ingredients to a molecular level and applying the principles of physics, engineering, and chemistry. As it relates to cooking, it opens a gastronomy, nouvelle, Pacific Rim, Mediterranean and fusion cuisines. Her expertise in creating exquisite flavors and artistic presentations is renowned throughout the industry. 

In February of 2021 Elizabeth published her first cookbook Made With Love; Culinary Inspirations From Around The World. The cookbook is comprised of recipes for all levels of talent in the kitchen; novice cook to professional chef. A family affair, the cookbook's story and culinary creations have been brought to life with beautiful photography and design by her husband Warren East. Elizabeth's mother who is a cookbook author in Canadian and coastal maritime cuisine is the editor of the book. Made With Love has already won five awards including the most recent, Best International Cuisine book and Food & Sports book in the world from the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook awards, the "Oscars" of international awards for cookbooks.
