St John’s Antigua - The Board of the Antigua Charter Yacht Show are very pleased to announce that Karen Kelly Shea of Nicholson Yachts has been appointed as Show Manager.
Karen started in the Charter Yacht Industry in 1982, she has worked as a Charter Manager and Charter Broker. She has been involved with Nicholson Yachts since 1989 and has owned the Newport office since 1997.
In Karen's words:
"I am very pleased to have been asked to return to the Antigua Charter Yacht Show and look forward to working with a great board and team of professionals to take the show to the next level post-pandemic. Antigua is a beautiful and charming island and is the best location for a major industry charter yacht show."
Not only is Antigua the birthplace of Caribbean Yacht Chartering, but it is also positioned in the "heart of the Caribbean" - ideal for yachts crossing from the Mediterranean, arriving from the US, or other locations to launch their Caribbean winter Charter Season. Yachts of any flag arriving in Antigua for the Charter Show can avoid the hassles that foreign flag yachts may encounter arriving for a yacht show in a US port. Yachts arriving in Antigua will find excellent availability of provisioning, yacht support, maintenance services and marinas".
Board of Directors Chairman Paul Deeth stated;
“We are pleased to welcome Karen as the new Manager of the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, assisted by long term on-island team Faheema and Kerryann. We look forward to having a great team with the goal of making this year the best show yet!"
